Angela Daniel is a DONA Certified Birth Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor and an ICEA Certified Childbirth Educator. She has a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville. As a social worker, she provided individual support, was a statewide advocate and served as an agent of change for families, children, female victims of violence, and more. She has a background that is family-centered and rich in direct client work, research, training, and advocacy on behalf of women and children. This experience enhances her ability to work within the broader birthing community to connect with birth professionals and the community at large to increase the awareness of the benefits to having a doula, ensuring families have the resources they need to be supported during labor/birth and the postpartum period. The support provided to her family by their doula during their first very long and challenging labor was invaluable and fueled her passion for working with birthing persons. Angela has supported families through their journey of labor and birth since 2010.
