I am a pillar in my community, with several close connections to most of the birth workers in my area (Springfield MO). I started the 417 Doula Alliance in the aftermath of the COVID-19 quarantine when our local hospital was trying to limit access to doulas. I wrote a petition that received major support and helped our local community voice their concerns, and with the help of other doula/midwives successfully stopped the restrictions from coming to fruition.
