I love being able to support parents become parents. It is one of the most exciting but challenging time in your life. It is important to feel like they are supported/loved well and have all the information so they can make the best educated decision. Birth is not always happy- unfortunately there is also loss in birth. I have supported two families who met their kids still born. It is sad but I am very happy to have the opportunity to support those families and navigating those emotions. I think the most challenging part of a doula life is its very unpredictable, so you always have to be ready to go! But also, that part is fun/thrilling!
