Arrin Blount
I am Arrin, your devoted holistic birth keeper at Path•logical, extending a warm welcome to you. Allow me to share a glimpse into my world and the tapestry of my career. Nurturing two enchanting souls as their mother, I call the vibrant city of Kansas City, Missouri, my home. Within the realm of maternal wellness, I wear multiple hats – a full-spectrum maternal health consultant (doula), a student midwife, a compassionate birth assistant, an advocate for Endocannabinoid vitality, and a budding mycologist. My journey began with Uzazi Village in 2020, where I honed my skills as a doula. Since then, I’ve embarked on a quest for knowledge, delving into realms such as ancestral herbal consumption during pregnancy and beyond, mastering the ancestral wisdom of Grandma’s Hands, and delving into the intricacies of maternal health consultancy. Previously, I served as a beacon of support at Uzazi Village/Ida Mae Patterson Maternal and Infant Wellness Center, as the doula supervisor/mentor, championing Black and brown families. As a community-based doula, my mission transcends mere assistance; it’s about dismantling generational shackles. They say it takes a village to raise a child – indeed, the mother being mothered, the father being fathered, and the community communicating. They must all play their parts harmoniously. Effective parenting is not just a duty; it’s a sacred art form that begins from the moment of conception. My purpose? To reshape perceptions around childbirth, one family at a time. Birth, my dear friends, is indeed “doula-ble” – pardon the pun 🤭, but it rings true! Equipping families with the tools of empowerment during this sacred passage is not just crucial; it’s transformative. These tools transcend the birthing room, becoming pillars of strength in everyday life and beacons of wisdom for generations to come. In essence, I am a guardian of empowerment, a weaver of destinies, and a custodian of the genesis of life itself. Join me in this noble endeavor, for together, we can foster a legacy of resilience and empowerment for all.
