The thing I like most about being a doula is that it is truly a fulfilling position. I love being able to be there for my clients during what can be a very challenging time. My least favorite part about being a doula is infant demise. The most challenging part of being a doula is making sure the client understands that I cannot and will not practice outside my scope. One of my strengths, however, is my community resource file that I am able to share with my clients so they can get help in the areas I’m not certified in, such as pelvic floor therapy.
